Happy Friday! I love a Friday as it's a day I can work from home so it means I can usually get a swim done in the morning. As well as training for the half Ironman, I've been putting in some pool time for a Swimathon I'm doing on Good Friday.

Swimathon- as in swim marathon? Uh huh. I've done this before and previously swam the 5k distance. It was 200 lengths (in a 25m pool) and it was very long and extremely boring! This year I'm shaking it up and swimming with a team to raise money for Neil's Club. This is a charity that supports local people with early or young-onset dementia. They provide a full, active and stimulating day out every week. Not only is it something nice for the people who suffer this horrible disease but it also provides a little respite for the carers.

I'll be swimming with my team and seeing how far a distance we can cover in a hour. We'll be swimming one length at a time so the pressure is on not to let my team down! It's a truly fantastic cause and if you'd like to donate, that would be very much appreciated. The link to do so is below and I'll say a big thank you in advance for any donations received :) I'll let you know how we do!
