Happy New Year!

Hello 2017!

I thought I'd share some of my new year's goals for the year with you. I'm always hesitant to have a load of resolutions as they are usually things like "eat less chocolate" and I'm done with that kind of negativity after a week! There are a few things I've set my sights on though...

Run a sub 1.45 half marathon
My last half marathon was 1.52 back in February and I want to knock off those 7 mins and get under the sub 1.45 mark. It'll be quite tough as I felt like I ran my heart out last time but that's the goal!

Run a marathon
This was on my wish list for last year and got shelved. This year I'm ready. Training is going well and I'm working hard on preparing mentally as well as physically. I'm so ready to join the Marathon Club.

Volunteer at a race
Really? Yeah! It's nice to be able to give something back and I love to cheer people on. I volunteered at Parkrun a few times in 2015 and it was surprisingly fun. It's great giving someone a boost when they're flagging or seeing someone smile when you tell them they're doing great.

Do a triathlon
Aneesha! I know but I didn't actually get to do one in 2016! I spent all that time preparing for the half Ironman that didn't happen and then I just couldn't face the London Triathlon so I would really like to do one this year.

Body Beautiful
I will want abs until the day I die and I won't stop trying to get them but in the meantime I'm going to try and love the body I have a bit more. I am terrible for pinching bits of my stomach and for feeling guilty after I've eaten something I love. I constantly compare myself to these insanely gorgeous girls on Instagram and while they are like goddesses, they aren't me. I want to feel happier about my body and how I look.
